Patrick Brooks, owner of Ridgeview Business Services, is an independent marketing consultant specializing in emerging markets. Most recently, he has been involved extensively in Internet marketing.
Before starting his own business, Patrick was Director of Product Marketing for Intel Internet Computing Services--a independent self-funded startup group providing Internet-based application services to compute-intensive applications. Contributing in a number of areas during its startup, his responsibilities included early market research, forecasting and product definition. His involvement included most facets of marketing ultimately evolving into a sales and market development role. Prior to Intel, Patrick was Director of Marketing for Naiad Technologies, Inc.--an investor-funded startup company specializing in the development of products for managing liquid hazardous waste. His responsibilities included managing all facets of marketing including product management, marketing communications, sales support, new product introductions, and new product definitions. Before joining Naiad, Patrick was a principal with the Alliance Consulting Group--a firm specializing in marketing of technology-based products and services into emerging markets. There, he managed several aspects of marketing for clients in software development, systems manufacturing and publicly-regulated service industries. An experienced marketing facilitator, Patrick has been involved in new product definition, product line management, distribution channel strategy planning, implementation and management, pricing strategy, sales training, technical support administration, documentation writing and publication, developing marketing communications vehicles, coordinating merchandising programs, maintaining press relations and negotiating join venture contracts. Before joining Alliance, Patrick was marketing manager for the Memory Applications Group at Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho. He also has work as a consultant both independently and with Regis McKenna Inc. He has taught high technology marketing courses at Portland State University and worked six years for Intel Corp. as product marketing manager for Random Access Memories. Patrick holds Bachelors of Science degrees from Oregon State University in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration. |
